For Marketers: Organize with Multiple Mailboxes!

Web marketers have specific needs regarding email. The way they conduct business online automatically generates specific emails for certain processes. Much of this is covered in a previous topic, but since this is aimed directly at web marketers it bear mentioning again.

One of the primary benefits of using the email from a ISP is that they typically provide more than one with your acct. Most times you get at least 3 accounts. This is perfect for marketers as it covers the basic necessary mailbox types.

The contact box, the transaction box and list contact box. If you get more than this I recommend you do not use these for a safelist or FFA subscribe/list mailbox. Only a few memberships to these type services generate hundreds of emails to your list box daily.

Always find and use a paid safelist mailbox for list mail, ALWAYS. Short changing yourself will only meet with disaster and heartbreak. Your ISP will not tolerate excessive mail to any of your boxes. If you approach your limit of storage or exceed it only a few times, they will warn you to do something about this or you risk loosing your ISP account.

There are plenty of safelist mailbox services at very reasonable prices, many are affordable for a years subscription. These many times feature automatic cleaning of your mailbox in the event you cannot do this manually.

Keep a notepad, or memo book, or some method of recording your email addresses and what they are for until you remember each correctly.

If you try to maintain all these types of mail to one mailbox, you will eventually come to the point where it overwhelms you. Don’t let this happen before you realize the advice of these topics was good sense. There are many who have tried and learned the hard way it simply will not work.
